Aug/Sept Blog & Notice

As a photographer, I love to learn and expand the different fields of work that you can get into within the photography industry. And I'd love my next project to be..... *Drum roll*..... Live Music performances!

Anyone who knows me, knows I love a good 80s or 90s rock. (Think ACDC, Guns N Roses, Ozzy Ozborne, Metallica.... The list goes on!) So I'd love to expand and further my experience and knowledge in the world of photography by asking for Musicians that are 'head banging' or very high energy or love to get movement in their shows to contact me.

What I have in mind:

A band (male, female or people) that are practicing in a darker setting style venue. Lots of energy, raw emotion and authentic and genuine high amounts of movement. I'd love to get some pictures of this showing the 'hair banging' movement and the big energy that Heavy metal/scream bands bring!

So, if you're in Heanor, Eastwood or the Langley Mill area and have a rock/scream band and fancy some free shots of you and your band in action! Then please reach out to discuss. You'll also get a copy of every image for FREE. People interested need to get in touch with me by the 30/09/2024.

Thanks for reading! 🤟🏻 And Stay Spooky! 🎃

Blog for August/September 2024

So August has finished and September has begun. Which means one thing... Halloween's arrival is almost upon us! 🎃👻

And this August I have been keeping on top of my little projects, here's a few I've done:

Heanor Collage - mother and daughter project

Myself and my daughter Stephanie have been getting crafty and arty over the 6 week holidays. My daughter decided to go with the topic of Heanor and the towns history, inspirational people and businesses and things that Heanor is recognised for. We finally finished it last Sunday and it was put on display Monday 2nd September at Infinite Wellbeing. I'm extremely proud of her for sticking to our project. It looks great!

My Halloween costume - The Predator (1987)

So if you know me personally you'll know about my obsession with Halloween! No, it's not unhealthy or weird...much! 🎃🤣 So every year I do themed family costumes for myself, my husband and my 2 children. So far we've been;

2018 - DC Comics: Batman (my partner), Robin (me), Harley Quinn (my daughter) & The joker (my son)

2019 - The Flinstones: Wilma (me), Fred Flinstone (Hubby), Pebbles (daughter) and Bam Bam (my son)

2020 - Tiger King (Netflix series): Joe Exotic (Hubby), Carole Baskin (me), and two tigers (kids)

2021 - Childs Play: me and my daughter was Big Tiff and little Tiff. My husband and son were Big and mini Chucky.

2022 - Brothers Grimm Goldilocks: myself, hubby and son were the 3 bears, my daughter was Goldilocks.

2023 - The Purge: all of us wore the light up X eye masks and matched with bloody shirts and black bottoms and shoes!

So in the spooky season this year, because I got my dreadlocks installed and the nickname has stuck as my new pet name by my husband. (Thanks babe, love you too!) We will be doing a themed costume of The Predator (1987 movie with Arnie) and obviously I didn't want to pay silly amounts of money for a costume so I decided I'd make my own! 😂

Well, so far it's coming along quite well and I have managed to almost complete the mouth piece, the skin suit and Ive already finished one of the accessories he wears. Just a few thousand more bits and bobs to do! (thank god for the kids going back to school!) I'm hoping it's going to be awesome once it's complete, maybe even wear it to a Halloween Con that's happening in Leicestershire too.

I've also been busy at home getting everywhere sorted around the house, finally though I've managed to organise and get a work space for my Photography that is fit for my Dracula inspired room! 🖤 (yes, I know you think it's weird or unhealthy to let this obsession take over, but It makes me happy! 😂) And it's not bad really when this area has only cost me around £110 to get new furniture and decor items! 😊 And now I have a desk I can use for my photography without my laptop having to stay on the surface I can actually hige it away! 😅 It's the little things for me 🧛🏻‍♀️

But that's it until next time! 😅 Hope you enjoyed my little slice of weird and have an amazing month guys! 🖤
