What do I do?

When getting a Photographer for your big day or occasion, you want that peace of mind and to feel as though you are the one in control but someone else is doing the running around with camera and that's what I do best! So, how does it all work, what happens after you book? Here I give you a quick run-down of the process to making sure you get what you pay for.

Booking in

You find me and book in your date (this needs to be atleast 6 months in advance for weddings) you can either book by contacting me by email or through my Facebook page or through the website. Once you book, let me know if you have any budget in mind or if you'd like to do a payment plan. I will then confirm if I'm available for your date and will ask for a deposit to be paid. This is non-refundable. And a receipt will be sent to you via email or via Facebook messenger. 

Meet & Greet (wedding bookings only) 

Around two months before your booking, I will contact you to arrange a meeting with you on a day and time that is suited and convenient for you and your partner. This can also be done via a Video Call on Teams or via Facebook Messenger if you are more happy with this. During this meeting, I will confirm the date, time, package and how much has been paid and what is left to pay. We will then chat about what you would like your images to show E.g. Are you wanting them edited to match a theme such as Harry Potter, gothic, Fairy tale etc. Then from that I ask you and your partner about particular photos you definitely want to be captured on your day. E.g. A particular family member you don't see very often or that may not be around much longer or something in the wedding that is to remember/memorialise a family member who is no longer around, an image of you both at a particular time like your partners reaction to seeing you walk down the aisle. Once these are all written down and agreed on. I will then have a little form for you to fill out to see if you would be okay with me sharing these images on my social media or on my website for me to use. There is no pressure to do this, it's just so that I can make sure I've had consent before using them.

The discussion & the Booking (events/other) 

Before your event, I will contact you a couple of weeks prior (please book Atleast 5 weeks in advance for events) to help get a better idea of whta you would like. This discussion can be over written messages via my Facebook page or email, video call via teams if you're comfortable for this or it can be in person at a location of your choosing such as; A local cafe, park or location your hoping to have your booking at or even your own home. 

The discussion will then help me to get a better idea of what you're wanting for your shoot, we can then go through images for inspiration that you like or would like something similar too. We can then talk about any sort of requests for image editing or requests for particular shots/poses. Once this is done I will write a list of these, confirm it again with yourself and then I will see you on the date of your booking where I will collect the final amount of the payment once the photographs have been taken. Images are usually sent after around 2/3 weeks after your booking and varies on the quantities of image you will get. (please see the Packages page to see what these prices are) 

The Day of your Wedding

On the day of your booking, I will then arrive and have the list of photos you have agreed upon previously to make sure we get those all important ones you have requested. Once I have finished, I will then return back home to work any magic on images that need fine tuning or editing per your requests that have been agreed. You will then receive either an email with a link for your images or if you'd rather have them on a Memory Stick I can store them for you and send them to your address and you can use these and print them how ever you like and for you to sit and enjoy your images over the years. Images usually take around 2-3 weeks to be finished and sent to you. 

Getting your images

You will also have 2 weeks after receiving your images to let me know if there are any issues or things you would like changing to images. Such as unedited or specific ones changed to black and white or cosmetic changes to people's faces E.g. Spot removing, teeth whitening or blurring. Once you have confirmed that you are happy with your images I will then store your images on my computer, add them to my social media or website (with consent) and they will be stored for around 6 months. After a 3 month period I will then remove these images from my personal computer and they will only be available from my website or from whichever of the methods you had asked for your images to be sent to you. 

Once you have had me as your photographer for your wedding, you can also give a code to friends or family that are wanting a photographer to knock money off their price. The code will be given to you when I return your images to you and the person who uses this will have to give your name when they use the code to verify its a referral.
